Popoff was a member of the women's indoor & outdoor track and field, cross country, and soccer teams during her time at Alfred State.

Courtney Vought, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer (Defensive)October 30, 2023Vought became extremely important for the Mounties as she recently returned from injury. In two wins last week, she registered a shutout in the Mounties' victory against Altoona, with nine saves, securing a spot in the AMCC Tournament. Then, in the Mounties' First Round win, she stopped another eight shots to give them a 3-1 win. For the week, Vought recorded one shutout, 17 saves and a .944 save percentage, all above her season averages.

Natalie Despot, Mount Aloysius College, Women's Soccer (Offensive)October 30, 2023Despot helped the Mounties go 2-0 last week, including the game-winning goal in the AMCC Tournament victory against La Roche. She scored the insurance goal in the Mounties' 2-0 victory against Penn State Altoona, which secured them a playoff position earlier in the week. Her two goals pushed her into a tie for fifth on the AMCC leaderboard with 10 goals scored this season.

AMCC WOMEN'S SOCCER GAME OF THE WEEK: PENN ST. ALTOONA @ MOUNT ALOYSIUSOctober 23, 2023Penn State Altoona travels to local rival Mount Aloysius College on Tuesday evening to take on the Mounties in the final AMCC Women's Soccer Game of the Week this season. The Lions are 4-3-1 in conference play and currently sit in fifth place in AMCC standings. The 4-4 Mounties are in a do-or-die situation, where they must either tie or win this matchup in order to make the postseason tournament.

Grace Zabawa, Hilbert College, Women's Soccer (Defensive)October 23, 2023Zabawa led the Hawks to undefeated week, as Hilbert went 2-0-1 against AMCC opponents. Zabawa had an all-around week, playing through the midfield, she showed off more than her scoring side last week with fantastic defensive performances and game controlling play with mulitple blocked shots and tackles. Zabawa also added three assists and two goals on the week.

Mallorie Smith, Penn State Altoona, Women's Soccer (Offensive)October 23, 2023Smith helped propel the Lions to a 2-0 week of AMCC play, helping her team to home wins over conference opponents Carlow and Pitt-Bradford that clinched a playoff berth for Penn State Altoona. In Wednesday afternoon's win over Carlow, Smith scored two goals and put four shots on goal in 11 attempts. In Saturday afternoon's victory against Pitt-Bradford, Smith finished with a goal and an assist on her Senior Day while taking eight shots, putting six on target. On the week, Smith had three goals and one assist for a total of seven points.

Nylah Pannebaker, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer (Defensive)October 16, 2023Pannebaker played the full 90 in two games this week in which the Bobcats recorded two clean sheets, as UPG beat Mount Aloysius 2-0 and Pitt-Bradford 6-0. The Bobcats back line conceded just five shots on goal in the two games.

Rachel Sickeri, Penn State Behrend, Women's Soccer (Offensive)October 16, 2023Sickeri scored three goals and handed out two assists for eight points in a 2-0 week for the Lions. She tallied one goal and one assist vs. Alfred State and then scored twice with one assist vs. Altoona. For the season, she has seven goals and five assists (all in conference games).

Kate Sproul, Alfred State College, Women's Soccer (Defensive)October 09, 2023Sproul tallied two shutouts while notching 11 saves on the week. Sproul recorded two saves in the 4-0 victory over Hilbert before picking up nine saves in the 0-0 tie against Carlow.

Maya Wertelet, Pitt-Greensburg, Women's Soccer (Offensive)October 09, 2023Wertelet scored five goals on the week and also tallied an assist, with three of the goals coming against Wells in a 11-0 victory for the Bobcats. In that match, the Bobcats set a school record for goals in a match as well a points in a match. The team also recorded the second most shots in a match in program history.
