2024 AMCC Women's Cross Country News

Penn State Altoona Athletics announced on Wednesday that it is adding men’s and women’s cross country to its NCAA Division III sport offerings.

The Penn State Behrend men's and women's cross country teams, along with the Alfred State College women's team, have been named to the 2024 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Cross Country All-Academic Team.

All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team

Penn State Behrend started off the year with five out of seven conference titles to lead the AMCC in the Presidents Cup race for 2024-25.

The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team placed 16th with a team score of 503 at NCAA Regional Championships on Saturday, hosted by Fredonia.

Alfred State College freshman Hailey Kumpf has been tabbed as the AMCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year.

The Penn State Behrend women’s cross country team earned its sixth straight and 14th overall AMCC Championship with 28 total points at the 2024 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Saturday.

AMCC cross country teams will head to Greensburg, PA this weekend for the 2024 AMCC Women's Cross Country Championship.

Kumpf recorded the top time in the AMCC this season at the SUNY Geneseo/Mike Woods Invitational, as she crossed the 6k finish line in 24:22.

Hartle was the first Lion to cross the finish line at the Kara Hall Memorial Invite. Her time of 25:37.1 placed her 52nd place out of 140 competing runners, and is also the top time in the AMCC for the women so far this season.

Cloak led the Celtics with a first place finish of 22:48.6 in the 3.11-mile race at Mount Aloysius. It is the first time the Celtics placed first as a team since the Penn State Greater Allegheny Invitational on Sept. 16, 2017.

Kraynik led the Pioneers at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invite, as she finished in 103rd place out of 231 runners with a time of 25:46 in the 6k race.

Hartle led the way for Behrend in the Twilight Invite, finishing in ninth with a time of 26:20.4.

Kraynik was the first Pioneer across the line at the Brockport Invitational as she finished 12th out of 94 runners with a time of 20:30.7 in the 5k.

Cloak led the Celtics and raced to second place overall finish at the Wolfpack Invitational with a personal best time of 22:46.1.
