February 25, 2025No. 3 Penn State Altoona and No. 5 La Roche University each victories in the First Round of the AMCC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament on Tuesday night to advance to the Semifinal Round. The Altoona Lions recorded a 95-88 win over No. 6 Hilbert College, while the Redhawks earned the 63-59 upset victory over No. 4 Penn State Behrend. -

February 24, 2025Marinchak averaged 22.5 points per game in a 2-0 week for the Bobcats. He recorded a game-high of 30 points against Mount Aloysius in their first game of the week. He followed that up on Saturday against top ranked Pitt-Bradford with 15 points, including the game-winner, with 13 seconds left to secure the No. 2 seed for the Bobcats in the upcoming conference tournament. -
Tommy DiRienzo, Penn State Behrend, Men's Basketball
February 17, 2025DiRienzo averaged 21.5 points on 59.3 percent shooting from the field and 5.5 rebounds in a pair of key road victories for Behrend. He became the program's all-time leading scorer with a game-high 30 points to go along with a team-high six rebounds at Hilbert on Wednesday. DiRienzo surpassed Russ Conley's (2009-13) 1,771 career points. On Saturday, he chipped in 13 points and five rebounds against Pitt-Bradford, giving the Panthers their first conference loss on the season. -

February 10, 2025Rodriguez led the Panthers to another 2-0 week, averaging 27.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In the triple-OT win at Hilbert, he scored 39 points and recorded a double-double, gathering 10 rebounds. He scored the last 8 points in the second overtime, including the game-tying three in the 2nd overtime and then followed that up with 13 in the third. -

Michael Miller, Alfred State College, Men's Basketball
February 03, 2025Miller led the Pioneers last week by averaging 24.5 points while shooting 60% from the field. He also averaged seven rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He opened the week with 21 points, nine rebounds, and eight assist against Hilbert. He followed with 28 points and five rebounds, and three assists against Pitt Greensburg. -
PITT-GREENSBURG HOSTS SPECIAL OLYMPIC ATHLETES AT BASKETBALL GAME
January 29, 2025Just over a dozen athletes from the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania (SOPA), Westmoreland County Chapter, as well as Bobcat fans from all over, packed the Chambers Hall Gymnasium for one of the largest turnouts for a basketball doubleheader in recent times. -

January 27, 2025Rozich had a triple-double of 16 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds against Penn State Behrend in a win on Saturday. Rozich also recorded a double-double against Mount Aloysius, which included 17 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two assists in the win over the Mounties He averaged 16.5 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists over two games. The Bobcats went 2-0 last week and have won eight of their last nine games. -

January 20, 2025Butler averaged 29 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game in another 2-0 week for Pitt-Bradford in AMCC play. Butler shot 52.8% from the field and made 19-of-21 from the line in the wins. He scored 27 points as the Panthers set a team record in a 135-92 win over Alfred State, and then led the team to a 98-93 win over Pitt-Greensburg scoring 31 points while accumulating 12 rebounds and six steals. -

Will Hagwood, Mount Aloysius College, Men's Basketball
January 13, 2025Hagwood averaged 23 points and 11.5 rebounds a game across two AMCC victories for the Mounties this week. Hagwood's three point shooting provided a boost for his team, hitting 50% of his shots from outside the arc this week. Hagwood's output puts him in second place in the conference for both points and rebounds this season, while his three steal per game average this week moved him to the sixth-highest average in the stat for the AMCC.
