Jessica Koptcho, Mount Aloysius College, Softball (Pitcher)
May 05, 2025Koptcho continued her stellar year, tossing a complete game with 18 strikeouts in the Mounties' victory against Carlow, including the first nine batters of the game. She set the program record for strikeouts in a game. She allowed just two earned runs and pitched to a 0.57 WHIP. Koptcho also came in and pitched the final four frames in game two against the Celtics, where she struck out five batters. Koptcho totaled 23 strikeouts in 11 innings (14.64 k/7), while also registering a 1.91 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP. -
Sarah Henninger, Mount Aloysius College, Softball (Player)
May 05, 2025Henninger was unstppable in the Mounties' two games, going 7-for-7 with four extra-base hits, as she batted 1.000 and recorded a 1.714 slugging percentage. In the win against Carlow, Henninger went 4-for-4 and accounted for six runs as she drove in four and scored two more. She then went 3-for-3 in game two, scoring three runs, while drawing a walk in her other plate appearance. Henninger is second in the league, slashing an impressive .557/.571/.787 in conference play this season. -

Jessica Koptcho, Mount Aloysius College, Softball (Pitcher)
April 28, 2025Koptcho would put together a strong showing on the mound, recording a 0.91 ERA across four games for the Mounties. Koptcho's 22 strikeouts this past week would solidify her spot at the top of the AMCC leaderboard in the stat, putting her past the 100 strikeout mark this season. Koptcho also leads the conference in ERA with 1.18 -
Jessica Dunn, Pitt-Greensburg, Softball (Player)
April 28, 2025Dunn led the Bobcats to a 5-0 (4-0 AMCC) record last week, propelling Pitt-Greensburg into a tie for second place in league standings. Dunn batted .438, scoring six runs and driving in three over four starts behind the plate. She walked three times with no strikeouts, for a .536 OBP. -
Jessica Koptcho, Mount Aloysius College, Softball (Pitcher)
April 21, 2025Koptcho went 3-0 in the circle last week, helping the Mounties to three conference wins. In her two starts, Koptcho tossed complete game shutouts against both La Roche and Hilbert, allowing just five hits combined in 13.0 innings. She struck out 15 combined, with a high of nine strikeouts against Hilbert. She then appeared in relief against Hilbert in game two, with 1.2 innings and two strikeouts, earning her third victory of the week and dropping her ERA to 1.24. Koptcho currently leads the AMCC in ERA and is second in overall wins on the season. -
Abbie Millard, Alfred State College, Softball (Player)
April 21, 2025Millard went 11-for-12 (.917) at the plate as the Pioneers went 4-0 on the week. She recorded six runs scored, seven RBI, three stolen bases, a .938 OBP and a 1.333 slugging percentage in four games. Millard was 5-for-6 at the plate against against Hilbert with four RBI and two doubles on the day. She followed that up against Carlow, going 6-for-6 at the plate, notching three RBI and three doubles on the day. -
Anna Schumacher, Carlow University, Softball (Pitcher)
April 14, 2025Schumacher went 2-0 in the cirlce to go along with a save on the week, while not allowing a run in 8.1 innings of work. She struck out three of Hilbert's five batters she faced to keep the game tied, allowing the Celtics to win in a 4-3 walk-off. -
Jocelyn McNany, Penn State Behrend, Softball (Player)
April 14, 2025McNany recorded a hit in all six games last week, including two or more hits in five of the six games. She went 12-for-20, hitting .600 to go with a 1.100 slugging percentage. She smacked five doubles, one triple and her fifth home run of the season while scoring seven runs, driving in five runs and stealing a pair of bases. -

Josselyn Nau, Penn State Altoona, Softball (Pitcher)
April 07, 2025Nau went 3-0 with a save while making two starts and two relief appearances for the Lions last week, when her team went 4-0 against AMCC opponents La Roche and Alfred State. In game one of Tuesday's home doubleheader against La Roche, she pitched a complete game and held the Redhawks to three runs while securing the win. Nau tossed a scoreless final inning in game two, protecting the lead and recording the save. In game one at Alfred State on Friday, Nau pitched another complete game, blanking the Pioneers across five innings of work to earn the victory. She pitched two scoreless innings in relief in game two and got the win as the Lions rallied to victory. On the week, Nau pitched 14 innings, had a 1.50 ERA and 0.86 WHIP, and struck out nine batters. -
Alyssa Fisher, Penn State Altoona, Softball (Player)
April 07, 2025Fisher had a great week at the plate, including three multi-hit games, to help propel the Lions to doubleheader sweeps of AMCC opponents La Roche and Alfred State. In Tuesday's home sweep of La Roche, she combined to hit 3-for-6 with four runs scored, one double, one RBI, and one stolen base. On Friday, in a road sweep of Alfred State, she went 6-for-8 with five RBI, four runs scored, three doubles, two stolen bases, and one triple. On the week, Fisher batted .643 (9-for-14) with eight runs scored, six RBI, four doubles, three stolen bases, one triple, and one walk. -
Sierra Walters, Mount Aloysius College, Softball (Pitcher)
March 31, 2025Walters set a new career high this past week, recording 13 strikeouts in the first game of a doubleheader against Alfred State. Walters would go 2-0 on the mound for the Mounties, recording a 1.5 ERA with 22 strikeouts (averaging 11 strikeouts per game). -
Gianna Hoppel, Penn State Altoona, Softball (Player)
March 31, 2025Hoppel had a huge week at the plate for the Lions, helping her team go 3-1 in doubleheaders against non-conference opponents Juniata and Elizabethtown. In a doubleheader sweep of Juniata on Tuesday at home, the senior combined to go 5-for-7 with two doubles, two runs scored, and one RBI. On Sunday, in a road split at Elizabethtown, she hit a combined 4-for-6 with two home runs, five RBI, three runs scored, and a double. On the week, Hoppel was 9-for-13 (.692) at the plate with six RBI, five runs scored, three doubles, and two home runs, while recording multiple hits in all four games. Her on-base percentage was .714 and she slugged 1.385, and she was also perfect in the field after recording 27 putouts on 27 chances. -
Haley Bicko, Carlow University, Softball (Pitcher)
March 24, 2025Bicko went 2-0 in 15.2 innings of work last week for the Celtics. She recorded eight strikeouts in in the circle and also helped her team at the plate with three doubles and five RBI as Carlow went 3-1 on the week. -
Megan Pollinger, Carlow University, Softball (Player)
March 24, 2025Pollinger went 8-for-15 with a double, a triple, two home runs and four RBI this past week to help Carlow to a 3-1 week in nonconference action. She also drew two walks and stole two bases. -
Josselyn Nau, Penn State Altoona, Softball (Pitcher)
March 17, 2025Nau went 3-0 with three complete games in her last three starts of the week in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. On Wednesday against King's, she tossed seven innings, allowed only three hits, one earned run, and one walk, and struck out five batters. Thursday against William Peace, the sophomore pitched seven frames and allowed four runs with two strikeouts. Nau ended her week against Mississippi University for Women on Friday, going five innings, allowing six hits, one run, and no walks, and having a pair of strikeouts. On the week, Nau was 3-0 with a 1.84 ERA, pitched 19 innings, and struck out nine batters. -
Jocelyn McNany, Penn State Behrend, Softball (Player)
March 17, 2025McNany hit .522 over eight games, recording seven extra-base hits out of 12 total for the week. She smacked a pair of home runs, four doubles and one triple, while scoring eight runs and driving in eight runs. McNany had three doubles in the win over Kean and two home runs vs. Saint Joseph's. -

March 10, 2025Nau threw two complete game shutouts for the Lions, who started their week-long trip competing in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. In a 2-0 win over Baruch on Saturday, she tossed seven scoreless innings while allowing six hits and one walk, and she struck out eight batters. On Sunday, in an 8-0 run rule win over Gwynedd Mercy, she went five scoreless innings, allowed only four hits and no walks, as had four strikeouts. On the week, Nau pitched 12 scoreless innings, allowed 10 hits and only one walk, and struck out 12.
