
Hiram College Athletic Director Todd W. Hibbs announced on Tuesday the appointment of Kevin Kustura as the third head coach of the Hiram Terriers men's volleyball program.

Four teams from the AMCC men's and women's volleyball teams have earned the United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2019-2020 season.

Hildebrand led the team in kills in a pair of wins on Saturday in Chicago, as the Lions went 2-0 on the week. He tallied 21 kills (4.20 k/s), 10 digs (2.00 d/s) and eight service aces in two matches. Hildebrand posted 12 kills, four aces and three digs in a 3-0 win over Greenville and then added nine kills and seven digs vs. North Park. For the week, he hit .245 while averaging 5.9 points per set.

Hoffman recorded 93 assists, 27 digs, 10 kills and five blocks in three AMCC matches last week. He averaged 10.33 assists, 3.00 digs, 1.11 kills and 0.56 blocks per set last week. In a 3-0 win over D'Youville last Wednesday, he handed out 30 assists to go along with five digs and three kills. He owned .214 attack percentage last week.

The AMCC Men's Volleyball Game of the Week features a battle of the unbeatens, as 3-0 Penn State Behrend will travel to Beaver Falls, PA to take on the 3-0 Golden Tornadoes of Geneva College.

Baronio led the Golden Tornadoes to a 2-0 record in conference play by picking up wins over Wittenberg and Penn State Altoona. Baronio had a triple-double, just missing a quadruple-double, against Wittenberg when he finished with 11 kills, 21 assists, 11 digs and 8 blocks. He followed that up with 15 kills, 19 assists, six digs, four blocks and four aces against Penn State Altoona. For the week he had 26 kills (2.89 k/s) on a .203 hitting percentage, 40 assists (4.44 a/s), 17 digs (1.89 d/s), 12 blocks (1.33 b/s) and seven aces (0.78 sa/s).

The first-ever AMCC Men's Volleyball Game of the Week features the Penn State Altoona Lions traveling to Beaver Falls, PA to take on Geneva College, who was tabbed the AMCC preseason favorites.

Perehinec was strong for the Lions in a 2-2 week against challenging opponents, as Penn State Altoona posted sweeps of Wilkes and SUNY Potsdam while losing to No. 6 ranked Wells and Division II Daemen. In four matches, Frank totaled 35.5 points, averaging 3.0 points per set. He totaled 30 kills (2.50 kills per set), 19 digs (1.58 digs per set), seven total blocks (0.58 blocks per set), and three assists (0.25 assists per set). Frank's attack percentage on the week was a very solid .339.

The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins in a non-conference tri-match held at the Junker Center on Saturday. The Lions defeated St. Vincent 3-0 and Mount St. Joseph, 3-1.

Tyler recorded a season-high 20 kills in three sets as the Tigers defeated the Terriers 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to open AMCC action. Tyler posted a .361 hitting percentage on the day adding one assist and four digs. For the week, Wittenberg went 1-1, as Tyler averaged 4.71 kills per set (6.67 in conference play), a .348 hitting percentage and 5.0 points per set (6.7 in conference play).

Baronio was a factor in just about every area for Geneva as the Golden Tornadoes went 3-0 last week. He finished the week with 21 kills (2.63 k/s) on a .359 hitting percentage. He added 49 assists (6.13 a/s), 14 digs (1.75 d/s) and eight blocks (1.00 b/s).
