PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Geneva OH Anthony Baronio was a factor in just about every area for Geneva as the Golden Tornadoes went 3-0 last week. He finished the week with 21 kills (2.63 k/s) on a .359 hitting percentage. He added 49 assists (6.13 a/s), 14 digs (1.75 d/s) and eight blocks (1.00 b/s).

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend MH Cody Schnur hit .339 in three matches this week, knocking down 28 kills to go with six blocks, as he had double-digit kills in two matches including 11 against Mt. Union, while also adding three digs and one ace...Wittenberg MB Dominic Melchiorre put together a consistent weekend for the Tigers, putting down eight, nine and nine kills for the Red and White, as the middle blocker tallied seven blocks on the weekend, adding four digs...D'Youville OH/MB Dan Busha had an impressive weekend for the Spartans at Misericordia, as he tallied eight kills with four digs and a block again Elizabethtown, and then tallied another eight kills with two assists and two blocks in the loss to Misericordia...PS-Altooa OPP Frank Perehinec helped lead the Lions to a 3-0 sweep of non-conference opponent Misericordia last Thursday night by totaling 11 points for an average of 3.7 points per set, as he accumulated seven kills (2.33 kills per set) on a .238 hitting percentage, five digs (1.67 digs per set), and three solo blocks (1.00 block per set) while chipping in one service ace and one assist...Hiram RS Hunter Rock recorded a team-high 10 kills and four blocks against Mount Union, as he helped key a 9-2 run with two kills and a block in the third set against Elmira...Medaille OH Chris Pauline was integral for the Mavericks in their first weekend of play, and he again continued his leadership of their young roster, as he finished the two matches with a team high 15 kills and also a team high 23 points, while also adding six service aces in the 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite.
