BEHREND'S HILDEBRAND REACHES PROGRAM MILESTONE IN KILLS

The Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins in a non-conference tri-match held at the Junker Center on Saturday. The Lions defeated St. Vincent 3-0 and Mount St. Joseph, 3-1. Senior outside hitter Dillon Hildebrand became the first person in program history to reach 1,000 career kills

The Lions dropped the first set and went down 6-0 to start the second set. Behrend used a 12-6 run to take a 18-16 lead and never trail again. The second set was tied four times, including 24-all before Cody Schnur tallied a service ace and an attack error by Mount St. Joseph tied the match at 1-all. The Behrend Lions kept a steady lead in the third set and Hildebrand reached his 1,000 kill on an assist from Diego Ortiz for a 15-7 lead.
