Pitt Bradford senior G/F Jamarion Butler has been named the 2025 AMCC Men's Basketball Player of the Year. Butler led the AMCC with 21.3 points per game this season, including 20.0 in conference play. He also ranked fifth in the conference with 7.8 rebounds per game, 10th with 2.8 assists per game, and second in steals per game with 2.2. Averaging just 26.8 minutes per game, Butler averaged the second-best points per 40 minutes played in the conference at 29.8 in AMCC Play, while being tied for first at 32.2 overall. Butler led the AMCC in free throws made, hitting 127 at a 73% clip. He shot 51% from the field and registered nine double-doubles, which was second-best in the AMCC.
For the third year in a row, Penn State Altoona senior F Dwayne Jones has been tabbed as the AMCC Defensive Player of the Year. Jones made another huge impact on the defensive end of the court this season. In the AMCC, he ranked first in blocks (62), blocks per game (2.5), and defensive rebounds (165), second in defensive rebounds per game (6.6), fourth in steals (48), and fifth in steals per game (1.9).
Penn State Altoona freshman G Kal-El Gentles has earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Gentles made a big impact for the Lions in just his freshman season. This season, he ranked third in the AMCC in assists (102) and assists per game (4.1), fifth in offensive rebounds (46), sixth in free throws made (87), 10th in field goal percentage (53.0) and free throw percentage (74.4), and 12th in total rebounds (139) and steals (36). Gentles recorded a season-high of 25 points on 64.3% shooting on Jan. 11 in a victory over Alfred State.
Coach of the Year honors goes to Pitt-Braford head coach Jesse DeLoof. DeLoof earns the honor for the first time in his career after leading the Panthers to a 23-3 overall record, including going 14-2 in conference play. The Panthers earned their first regular season title in 23 years, garnering hosting rights to the AMCC tournament, as they went on to win the program's first AMCC tournament championship.
