PITT-BRADFORD'S DELOOF NAMED HOOPDIRT.COM DIII COACH OF THE WEEK

PITT-BRADFORD'S DELOOF NAMED HOOPDIRT.COM DIII COACH OF THE WEEK
The Pitt-Bradford men's basketball team head coach Jesse DeLoof picked up national recognition on Monday as he was named HoopDirt.com's NCAA DIII Coach of the Week.
In his fifth season with his alma mater, DeLoof has led the Panthers to their best start since joining the NCAA in 1998, at 8-0. Pitt-Bradford is currently third in NCAA Division III in scoring, at 108.4 points per game, turnovers forced per game, at 25.75 per contest, and turnover margin, at +11.0 per game.
Last week, the Panthers picked up two victories as they took down Houghton 120-87 and then won the AMCC Game of the Week over Hilbert 117-103.
"It's a great honor, but it really belongs to our program as a whole," said DeLoof. "Every one of our players, managers, and our assistant coach, Nate Schneider, put in the hard work that has resulted in receiving this type of recognition. Hopefully, this is only the start for us,  and we can continue to grow and get better as the season goes on."
The Panthers are off for two weeks as they wrap up finals and head home for the holidays. They will return to action on the road, as they will head to Ohio to play in the Wooster Kiwanis Classic on December 29th and 30th. The Panthers will take on the hosts, Wooster.
