The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team's season was extended on Monday as the Bobcats earned a bid to the ECAC Tournament. The team will play McDaniel on March 8 in Westminster, MD. This bid is the first time the Bobcats will play past the AMCC Tournament since their last NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016.
The Bobcats will play McDaniel, one of two host schools in the ECAC bracket. Pitt-Greensburg finished the regular season 12-4 in AMCC play and was No. 2 in the conference going into the AMCC Tournament, earning a first-round bye. The Bobcats finished the season 18-8 while losing just two games during the spring semester. The Bobcats suffered a semifinal loss to Penn State Altoona in the AMCC championship tournament. The Bobcats' opponents, the Green Terror, finished the season 13-12 while going 3-10 in the Centennial Conference.
