#3 Alfred State College defeated #6 Penn State Altoona 100-72, while #4 Pitt-Greensburg got the 86-75 win over #5 Pitt-Bradford in the first round of the AMCC men's basketball championship tournament.

La Roche University and Penn State Behrend each went 14-4 in conference play and were named AMCC regular season co-champions, but it was the Redhawks who went 2-0 against the Lions head-to-head to earn the top seed and hosting rights in the 2024 AMCC men's basketball championship tournament.

Starzynski had a fantastic final week of the regular season as La Roche clinched the top seed in the AMCC Tournament and a share of the regular season championship. In Wednesday's 76-64 victory over Carlow, Starzynski put together a line of 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal, extending the Redhawks winning streak to 13. On Saturday, despite being defeated by Penn State Altoona, Starzynski penciled in a double-double to the stat sheet with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while also chipping in a pair of steals and three blocks on the defensive end. For the week, Starzynski averaged 20.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

Priah led the Mounties in scoring last week, as he averaged 20.0 points with 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game, as his team would go 1-1 in conference competition. Priah's best game of the week came on Wednesday, when he scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while adding four assists, two steals, and a block in win over Wells.

Priah averaged 20 points and 9.5 rebounds per game on 63% shooting last week, leading the Mounties to a 2-0 record. Honored on Wednesday for reaching the 1,000 point mark in his career as a college athlete, Priah currently leads the AMCC in rebounds per game. Priah's 4.5 offensive rebounds per game this week exceeded his season average of 3.0, also good for top in the stat for the conference.

The AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week features the top two teams in league standings, as the 9-3 La Roche University Redhawks travel to Erie, PA on Wednesday evening to take on 8-3 Penn State Behrend. The La Roche Redhawks currently sit in first place in the AMCC, while Penn State Behrend is hot on their heels in second place.

Jones was the Lions' high scorer in a 2-0 week of AMCC play. In Wednesday night's home win over Pitt-Greensburg, the junior finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. He followed that up with another strong game in Saturday's home victory over Wells, matching his career-high in points with 28 to go along with eight rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal. On the week, Jones averaged 26.0 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and 2.0 blocks per game. He shot an impressive 62.9 percent from the floor and also connected on 44.4 percent of his three-point attempts.

The AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week features 7-4 Alfred State College at 6-5 Pitt-Greensburg. Alfred State is currently tied for third in league standings, while Pitt-Greensburg is tied right behind them in the five spot.

DiRienzo averaged 21.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in two Behrend victories last week. He scored a game-high 27 points to go along with seven rebounds and two assists against Alfred State, delivering 17 of his 27 points in the second half. On Saturday vs. Pitt-Greensburg, DiRienzo registered his fourth double-double of the year, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He also dished out a game-high six assists against the Bobcats.

Schneider led the Pioneers to two wins last week, and the top spot in conference standings, as he averaged 29 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game, while shooting 61.8 percent from the field. Schneider opened the week with a 22 point game against Bradford while dishing out eight assists and grabbing six rebounds. He followed with a career-high 36 point game against Carlow. Against the Celtics, he grabbed 13 rebounds, and added six assists, three steals, and two blocks.

The Pitt-Bradford Panthers will travel to Alfred, NY on Wednesday evening to take on the Alfred State College Pioneers in the AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week. Pitt-Bradford enters the game in first place in conference standings with a 5-1 record, while Alfred State is tied for the second spot with a 4-2 mark in conference play.

Jamison averaged 31.5 points per game and shot 79.4 percent from the field. He started the week with a 25 point game against Penn St Altoona where he went 10-for-15 from the field. He also added four assists and three steals. Jamison followed that with a 38 point game against Mt. Aloysius, going 17-for-19 from the field, shooting 89.5%, while adding six rebounds and a block. With his 38 point game, Jamison hit his 1,000th career point to becoming Alfred State's first 1,000 point scorer in their NCAA era.

Haggans averaged 22.5 points per game on 60% shooting this week, adding 10.5 rebounds and two steals per game. Haggans led the Mounties to a 1-1 record in the Dr. Carol V. Decosta/Go 4 the Goal Tournament, and was named to the All-Tournament team for the Mounties.

Marinchak scored 26 points, including seven three-pointers over 33 minutes in the Bobcats' loss to Hood. He shot over 46 percent from behind the arc and over 47 percent from the floor.

Jones had a big week for the Lions, posting a pair of double-doubles to help his team notch a pair of AMCC wins. In Wednesday night's home victory against Mount Aloysius, Dwayne contributed 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with two assists, two steals, and two blocks. On Saturday, in a road win at Wells, he scored 24 points while grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds, and he also recorded five blocks, three steals, and one assist. On the week, Jones averaged 21.0 points, 14.0 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 assists per game.

Butler averaged 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 5.0 steals per game as the Panthers started out 2-0 in conference play last week. He shot 51.2% from the field over the two games. After starting strong with a 21-point, nine rebound, and five-assist performance against Wells, Butler led the Panthers to an important road win at Mount Aloysius. He scored 31 points while tallying five rebounds and four assists in the win. He also led the Panthers' defensive effort in the game, recording eight steals and two blocks.

DiRienzo averaged 22.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game over two games last week. On Tuesday at Baldwin Wallace, he led all scorers with a season-high 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds to help lead the Lions to an 80-69 victory in overtime. DiRienzo led all players with 24 points and 11 rebounds at Allegheny on Saturday.

Gaskins scored 65 points in three games and shot 77.4 percent (24-for-31) from the foul line. Gaskins started off the week with 33 points, three steals, two blocks and two rebounds in a win over PS-Shenango. He followed that up with 21 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over Regent. Gaskins finished the week with 11 points, eight rebounds, two assist and two steals against Apprentice School. He averaged 21.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game with eight steals and six assists.

Jamison led the Pioneers offense this week, tallying 63 points in three game, averaging 21 points per game. He opened the year with 14 points, four rebounds, and three steals against Geneseo. He then put in 24 points, four rebounds, and three steals against Merchant Marine. Jamison ended the week with 25 points and a career-high eight steals, while also adding three rebounds, two assists and a block against Clarks Summit. Jamison shot 70.6% from the field and 50% from three-point range on the week.
