#3 ALFRED STATE, #4 PITT-GREENSBURG MEN ADVANCE TO SEMIFINALS

#3 Alfred State College defeated #6 Penn State Altoona 100-72, while #4 Pitt-Greensburg got the 86-75 win over #5 Pitt-Bradford in the first round of the AMCC men's basketball championship tournament. With the wins, the Pioneers and Bobcats each advance to the semifinal round, to be played Friday evening at top seed La Roche University.

Alfred State 100, Penn State Altoona 72
The Alfred State men's basketball team defeated Penn.-St Altoona, 100-72 in the first round of the AMCC Tournament. The Pioneers eclipsed the century mark for the third time this season. The No. 3 Pioneers advance to the Final Four of the AMCC Tournament. Alfred State senior F Cody Schneider led the way with 25 points and six steals. Junior G Dylan Perry stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals. Senior G Ryan Rosa chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds and senior G Paris Jamison added 15 points and four assists.  

The No.3 Pioneers are back in action for the second round of the AMCC Tournament on Friday, February 23rd as they face No.2 Penn St. Behrend at La Roche University in Pittsburgh, PA. The Pioneers dropped the season series against Behrend 0-2. 

Pitt-Greensburg 86, Pitt-Bradford 75
The Pitt-Greensburg men's basketball team is heading to the AMCC Semifinals for the first time under head coach Chris Klimchock after defeating the Panthers of Pitt-Bradford 86-75. Sophomore Matthew Marinchak scored 29 points to lead the Bobcats. Freshman Trent Rozich had 21 points himself while securing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists. Sophomore Jackson Byer also scored in double-digits with 13 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. The Bobcats made 22 of 28 free throw attempts and had 18 bench points. Pitt-Greensburg led for the entirety of the game.
 
The Bobcats will take on No. 1 seed La Roche on the Redhawks' home court this Friday in the AMCC Semi Finals. Tip off will be at 6:00 PM.
