AMCC MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: ALFRED STATE @ PITT-GREENSBURG

The AMCC Men's Basketball Game of the Week features 7-4 Alfred State College at 6-5 Pitt-Greensburg. Alfred State is currently tied for third in league standings, while Pitt-Greensburg is tied right behind them in the five spot. 

The Pioneers are going into this weekend with a lot of momentum. ASC is coming off a game where they scored a season-high 108 points, while knocking down 13 threes in the win over Hilbert. Four Pios scored in double digits with Cody Schneider leading the way, tallying 34 points, followed by Michael Miller who scored a a career-high 27 points. They combined for 12 of the 13 threes that were made that game. 

The Bobcat basketball team comes into the AMCC Game of the Week matchup against the Pioneers against Alfred State looking to get back into the win column after falling in the team’s last two AMCC games. The Bobcats come into the game with a 6-5 AMCC record. Pitt-Greensburg is led by sophomore Matthew Marinchak who is averaging 18 points per game and is in the top ten in the conference. Freshman forward Trent Rozich is also in the top echelon of the conference in scoring with 15 points per game. In the team’s previous matchup, Marinchak and junior James Evans-Mcquay led the way for the Bobcats in the scoring column. Rozich also had a strong game, scoring nine points, securing 11 rebounds, and dishing out five assists. Pitt-Greenburg will look to improve on their 4-for-25 shooting from behind the arc against the Pioneers of Alfred State.
