
The Faculty Athletic Representatives (FARs) around the AMCC have voted on and selected the 2024 FAR Award Winners. On the men's side is Penn State Behrend men's volleyball player Alex Jackson while Pitt-Greensburg women's tennis player Amber Sterrett represents the women's side.

With a strong spring sports season to top off yet another impressive year by Penn State Behrend, the Lions have once again claimed the AMCC Presidents Cup title with a .925 percentage ranking.

Saint Vincent College sophomore RS/OH Shawn McSwiggen has been tabbed as the AMCC Player of the Year.

The second-seeded Hiram College Terriers upset top seed Saint Vincent College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to claim the program's second AMCC men's volleyball title, and first since 2021.

#3 Thiel College and #5 Penn State Behrend each earned victories in the first round of the AMCC Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament to advance to the semifinal round Friday evening.

Milroy had a strong all-around week for Geneva in three matches last week. Defensively, he finished the week with 14 blocks (1.17 b/s) and 32 digs (2.67 d/s). He was also strong offensively with 42 kills (3.50 k/s) on a .290 hitting percentage, including a career-high 21 kills against Saint Vincent. He finished the week with an impressive 4.4 pts/s.

Farabaugh led the Lions' offense in a 3-0 week that included a pair of AMCC wins to help the team clinch a home match in the first round of the upcoming conference postseason tournament. In Wednesday night's 3-0 sweep on the road against Mount Aloysius, he totaled 11 points on seven kills, two service aces, two block assists, and a solo block. Penn State Altoona posted two more sweeps in a home tri-match with AMCC foe Penn State Behrend and non-conference opponent Bethany on Saturday. Against Behrend, Farabaugh finished with 16.5 points on 14 kills, one ace, one solo block, and one block assist. Versus Bethany, he had five points on four kills and one ace while playing just one set. On the week, Farabaugh recorded 32.5 points (4.6 points per set), 25 kills (3.57 kills per set), five total blocks (0.71 blocks per set), and four service aces (0.57 aces per set). He also compiled a .213 attack percentage.

The Penn State Behrend Lions host the Hilbert College Hawks in the final AMCC Men's Volleyball Game of the Week, as this week marks the final one in regular season play.

Moon had a strong defensive week for an Express team that has been great on the receiving end of opposing attacks during the past couple weeks. The sophomore setter was all over the court during Wells' three matches this past week, recording 28 total digs and an average of 3.11 digs per set. This was all done while also adding 75 assists to his already impressive assist total for the year.

Deubner set team-highs with 12 kills against Penn State Altoona on Wednesday and a career-high 18 kills against Penn State Behrend on Saturday. His efforts lifted Hiram to a 2-0 record for the week and a 6-1 conference record for the season. The junior has recorded 12+ kills in four straight games, which is the longest such streak of his career.

Hiram College will be traveling to Erie, PA on Saturday afternoon to take on the Lions of Penn State Behrend in the AMCC Men's Volleyball Game of the Week.

Sehn had an outstanding week for an Express squad that played well above their normal defensive numbers. Sehn, in particular, nearly doubled his defensive production during the Express' two games this past week, logging 4.17 digs per set, almost two entire digs higher than his season average (2.63 D/S). He also impressed on many opposing serve attempts, as he only suffered one reception error in the 33 receptions he attempted, good for an impressive .970 reception percentage on the week. Coupled with his 25 total digs this past week, Sehn put forth a strong defensive week for the Express.

McSwiggen averaged 6.13 kills per set on a .351 hitting percentage, while also averaging 3.50 digs and totaling two blocks and three service aces, over the Bearcats' 2-0 week. His biggest performance came in Wednesday's five-set win over Penn State-Altoona, as he broke his own program record with 32 kills, while adding 12 digs for the double-double. Three days later, in a 3-0 shutout of Penn State-Behrend, McSwiggen led both sides with 17 kills, while adding 28 digs, two solo blocks and three service aces. For the week, McSwiggen averaged 6.8 points per set.
