    DeArmitt started all three games for the Lions in the AMCC tournament and went 2-0, including winning the conference title game. In 17.2 innings of work, DeArmitt posted a 3.96 ERA while striking out 12 batters. She recorded her league-leading 15th and 16th wins of the season to lead Penn State Altoona to their second consecutive AMCC crown.     Smith stepped up in a big way to lead her team to its second consecutive conference title. The senior helped the Lions to comeback wins against Mount Aloysius and Pitt-Bradford by driving in the game-tying run late in each of those contests. In the tournament, Smith was 7-for-12 with 2 doubles, 3 RBI, 4 runs scored, and 1 walk drawn. She posted a .615 on-base percentage and slugged .750. BEST OF THE REST: La Roche INF Kim McLay hit .364 with 4 runs, 2 RBI, 1 triple, and 1 double in 3 AMCC tournament games … Pitt-Bradford OF Jessica Ginther went .214 from the plate with 4 runs, 2 home runs, and 4 RBI while carrying an on-base percentage of .389 and slugging .643 through the AMCC tournament

    McHenry is back in the spotlight with 3 AMCC wins in 5 starts to secure the Spartans’ spot in the conference tournament as the #5 seed. She recorded 23 Ks in 29 innings of work, allowing just 7 earned runs for a 1.69 ERA. She was also perfect on all 10 fielding chances. In league competition, McHenry ranks #1 in innings pitched (87.2), strikeouts (84) and ERA (1.04). BEST OF THE REST: Hilbert P Jaelyn Gotham carried the Hawks through a complete 5-inning game against Franciscan, giving up just 2 hits while striking out 7… Medaille P Amanda Messi contributed 5 strikeouts in 5 innings in a pair of losses to Behrend and Mt.     Kehlenbeck led the Spartans to a 4-2 week in the crunch time before the playoffs, batting .455 by connecting on 10 for 22 trips to the plate. She racked up 7 extra base hits (3 doubles, a triple and 2 HR) and 13 RBI while scoring 8 runs. Kehlenbeck was particularly impressive in a pair of close losses to regular season champion Behrend, hitting .500 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored. She was near-perfect in the field, handling 19 of 20 chances from shortstop with 6 put-outs and 16 assists. BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend P/3B Kelly Hedderick continued her stellar season last week, belting 2 home runs with 12 hits and 11 RBI to extend the Lions’ win streak to 7 and lead them to the AMCC regular season title…Mt.     McHenry had an outstanding week for the Spartans. In game one of a doubleheader against defending champions PS-Altoona, the sophomore pitched a complete game without giving up any runs to shutout the Lions and earn the win. McHenry then pitched game two of the doubleheader, again pitching a complete game and giving up just 1 earned run for the win to sweep the Lions. She followed this performance with another complete game against Pitt-Greensburg in game one of a doubleheader, where she struck out 7 and did not give up a single run to earn the shutout win. McHenry also made a 6 inning appearance in game two, striking out 12 without giving up a run to earn the 3-1 win. On the week, McHenry did 27 innings of work with 25 strikeouts and only 1 earned run allowed. In the AMCC, McHenry is currently ranked 1st in ERA (0.91). BEST OF THE REST: Medaille SO Amanda Mesi went 6 innings against PS-Altoona, allowing only 4 earned runs and striking out 2 in a loss … PS-Altoona JR Raychel DeArmitt earned her first collegiate perfect game, in which she pitched a complete game to strike out 10 batters for the win over Medaille and post the 5th perfect game in Lady Lions’ history … PS-Behrend FR Rachel Miller did not allow an earned run while striking out 4 to earn the win over La Roche, her 6th of the season … Pitt-Bradford JR Krista Jacobs went a total of 8 innings to strike out 4 and allow only 4 earned runs in a pair of wins … La Roche SO Kaylee Girdwood went 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA in 4 starts, striking out 10 in 18 innings of work … Mount Aloysius FR Heather Picard pitched a combined 14 innings with 16 strikeouts and a 2.50 ERA in a 3-0 week.

    Westover was a dominating force for the Mounties, batting .625 from the plate. The senior tallied 6 runs, 1 triple, 1 homer, and 6 RBI, including a walk-off HR for the win against Pitt-Greensburg. Westover carried a .647 on-base percentage and .938 slugging percentage, while fielding a perfect 1.000 on 20 chances. Her all-around contributions led the Mounties to a 4-0 week. In the AMCC, Westover is currently ranked 2nd in batting average (.465).     As a pitcher, Mosby earned the win in 3 complete games pitched; pitched 2.0 innings of relief to earn a save; and pitched 6 innings in a loss. In game one of a doubleheader vs. D'Youville, Mosby pitched a complete game shutout, not allowing a single earned run and striking out 11. She followed this in game two with 2.0 innings of scoreless pitching for the save in a 3-2 decision. The senior also pitched in game one against PS-Behrend, where she threw a complete game to strike out 5 for the win. In an extra-innings win against Pitt-Greensburg, Mosby pitched 10 innings while allowing just 1 earned run and striking out 11 batters for an impressive .70 ERA. The senior’s pitching led the Panthers to a 6-2 week in conference. On the week, Mosby racked up 32 innings of work, in which she struck out 36 batters and gave up just 15 earned runs. On the other side of the plate, Mosby batted .231 with 4 runs, 1 double, and 2 RBI. In the AMCC, Mosby is currently ranked 3rd in ERA (1.77), 2nd in wins (9), 1st in strikeouts (97), and 1st in saves (2).     Mulig batted .444 on the week, smacking 8 hits and driving in 10 runs. The freshman tallied 6 runs, 1 double, and 2 walks without a single strikeout. In addition, her three-run triple in game one against Mount Aloysius gave the Lions the insurance for the win. Mulig also went 4-for-4 in stolen bases, and carried a .545 on-base percentage, .611 slugging percentage, and a near-perfect .958 fielding percentage.     Mosby dominated for the Panthers in the circle. In a complete game against Medaille, Mosby allowed just 1 earned run on 3 hits while striking out 9 for the win. She then appeared for 2 more innings in the second half of the double header to strike out 4 more with no hits. In the first part of a double header against Franciscan, the senior pitched 6 innings to give up just 1 earned run while striking out 11. On the week, Mosby pitched 15 innings while striking out 24 batters and allowing only 5 hits and walking 2. In addition, Mosby was powerful for the Panthers from the other side of the plate, as she batter .846 with 5 runs, 2 doubles, 1 home run, and 10 RBI with a .867 on-base percentage. In the AMCC, Mosby is currently 1st in batting average (.583), 5th in RBI (15), 1st in ERA (0.95), 2nd in wins (6), 3rd in strikeouts (61), and 1st in saves (1).     Hedderick hit .476 in 6 conference wins. The sophomore tallied 13 RBI on 10 hits, scoring 11 runs and smacking 7 extra-base hits including 4 home runs. Hedderick had 4 multiple-hit games along with 2 doubles and 1 triple. In the game against pre-season #1 pick and defending champion Penn St. Altoona, Hedderick’s solo homer in the bottom of the 6th gave the Lions the go-ahead run and the win. Hedderick is currently tied for first in home runs (4) in the AMCC. The freshman recorded a .571 on-base percentage while slugging .667 and fielding .944 (17 on 18 chances). In the AMCC, Teeter is currently ranked 4th in BA (.483) and has only been struck out once this season.     Uher posted an impressive 0.5 ERA in two starts this week in the circle. The sophomore allowed just 7 hits, 4 runs with only 1 earned, while striking out a total of 16 batters as she went 1-1 from the mound. In the 3-1 victory over Grove City, Uher went all 7 innings, allowing just 1 earned run and striking out 9 batters. She also finished 2-for-3 from the other side of the plate, tallying a single and a double to help her cause against GCC.     Penn State Altoona softball's freshman hurler Kate Burge picked up another recognition of her standout performance last week when she was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference's Division III South Region Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday night.

    Burge had a spectacular start to her career. In just her second collegiate start, the freshman pitched a perfect game against Bay Path, the fourth in Lady Lions history. Burge went 7 innings to allow no hits, no walks, and striking out 14 batters to tie a school single game record. She followed that by throwing another complete game victory against Keystone, allowing just one run in 7 innings and recording 8 strikeouts. Against Gettysburg, the freshman contributed 2 scoreless innings of relief. For the week, Burge pitched 16 innings and went 2-0 while allowing just 5 hits, 1 run, walking no one, and striking out 23. In the AMCC, Burge is currently ranked 1st in ERA (0.63), tied for 3rd in wins (2), tied for 2nd in strikeouts (28), and 1st in saves (1).
