Penn State Altoona junior pitcher Raychel DeArmitt threw her first career perfect game in the first half of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon to help the Lady Lions softball team sweep AMCC foe Medaille College by scores of 5-0 and 6-0 at Stewart Athletic Field.

DeArmitt pitched seven spotless innings and struck out 10 batters to record the fifth perfect game in Penn State Altoona softball program history and the second one this season. The victory adds to DeArmitt's AMCC-leading total, giving her 13 wins on the season.
