  • STITT CLINCHES FIRST PLACE IN DIGS PER SET FOR SECOND YEAR

    With the last update of statistics on Monday, Penn State Altoona men's volleyball junior libero Brandon Stitt has officially clinched first place among all NCAA Division III players in digs per set for the second year in a row, averaging 3.89 digs per set during the 2015 season.

    Medaille senior setter David Riggsby has been tabbed as the 2015 AMCC Men's Volleyball Player of the Year
  • MUNK NAMED TO ALL-UVC TEAM

    Penn State Behrend men's volleyball sophomore middle hitter Trenton Munk has been named to the 2015 United Volleyball Conference (UVC) All-Conference Team, announced on Thursday.
  • Brock Tetreault, D'Youville College
    April 06, 2015
    Tetreault closed out the regular season in his freshman campaign over the weekend, leading the team in kills in all four matches the team played, totaling 40 over four games. Against UC Santa Cruz, Tetreault tallied 16 kills, his third highest total for the entire season. He also added seven total blocks, 18 digs and two service aces over the four games. Tetreault finished the season second in the AMCC in kills with 291, fourth in kills per set with 2.83, and was fifth with a .211 hitting percentage.
  • HILBERT'S SCHWAB NAMED NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Korey Schwab was named the Sports Imports/AVCA National Player of the Weektoday and became the first Hilbert College men's volleyball player to be recognized in their weekly honor.
  • David Riggsby, Medaille College

    Riggsby racked up 159 assists (11.36 per set) and had a .417 hitting percentage in a 4-0 week for the Mavs. Riggsby's efforts helped the Mavs to clinch the #1 seed in the NEAC Championship and also saw the Mavericks win yet another AMCC Championship. Riggsby also recorded 13 service aces on the week.
  • MEDAILLE HOLDS OFF LIONS FOR AMCC TITLE

    The Medaille College Men's Volleyball Team won a hard-fought match over visiting Penn State-Behrend in four sets Wednesday night at the Sullivan Center. Set scores were (29-27, 25-19, 23-25, and 25-14).
  • Jack Hagerty, Medaille College
    March 23, 2015
    Hagerty had 40 kills and a .342 hitting percentage in a 2-2 week for the Mavs. Hagerty also chipped in on the defense with 17 total blocks and nine digs. He ranks third in the AMCC in hitting percentage with .270 and fourth in blocks per set with 0.85.
  • Brett Cawthorn, D'Youville College

    Cawthorn played a key role in extending the Spartans' winning streak to 10 games. Against Wells on Saturday, Cawthorn led the team in kills with 19. His eight digs were tied for second on the team. Brett also had one service ace. D'Youville is still undefeated in league play, sporting a 9-0 record, and is also tied for first place in the AMCC standings.
  • Nate Schneider, Medaille College

    Schneider led the Mavericks in kills in all three matches this week as they went 3-0, beating Penn St.-Altoona, Lancaster Bile and Keuka. Schneider had 34 kills on the week (3.78 k/s) and also had 20 digs (2.22 d/s) and a .324 hitting percentage.

    Hill recorded nine kills, two aces and had hit .375 in a straight sets victory over Penn St.-Behrend this week.
  • Matt Huey, Penn St. Altoona

    Huey had a big week for the Lions against Division II opponent Charleston as well as a pair of NEAC teams. Against Charleston on Thursday, he posted 12 kills and nine digs. Against SUNY Polytechnic on Friday, he had nine kills, three digs and two solo blocks. In a win over Wells on Saturday, he tallied a season-high 22 kills to go along with five digs, one solo block, and two block assists. On the week, he averaged 3.58 kills per set, 1.42 digs per set, and 0.42 blocks per set.
  • Jacob Byers, Penn St. Altoona
    February 15, 2015
    Byers posted 15 kills, five digs, and three block assists in a loss to Keuka. In the Lions' win over Lancaster Bible, he again had 15 kills to go along with four digs, three aces, and one block assist. On the week, Byers averaged 4.29 kills per set, 1.29 digs per set, and 0.57 blocks per set.

    Riggsby totaled 117 assists in a 2-2 week against top-notch opponents. Riggsby's seven kills and 32 assists against #8 Nazareth helped Medaille beat Nazareth on their home court and give them their first loss of the season as they fell to 11-1. Riggsby was also named to the Golden Flyer Invitational All-Tournament Team.
  • Trenton Munk, Penn St. Behrend

    Munk hit .351 in four matches with a 38-11-77 stat line. He also added 20 blocks (14 assists, 6 solo). He had 15 kills in a five-set win over D'Youville and added 12 kills against Keuka on Sunday.
