STEPHANIE CIESLA JOINS HILBERT VOLLEYBALL COACHING STAFFS

Hilbert College Head Coach Calvin Crosby is pleased to welcome Stephanie Ciesla to his men's and women's volleyball staff as an assistant coach at the start of the 2021-22 academic year.

Cielsa joins the Hawks' athletics department via an NCAA Division III Coaching Enhancement Grant awarded to Hilbert College for the upcoming two-year cycle.  In addition to the professional development and financial resources the NCAA grant provides, Cielsa will gain relevant coaching and administrative experience as an assistant coach for two programs competing in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Ciesla continues to balance her professional career with her passion for volleyball after graduating from Medaille College in May 2020.  Since December 2020, she has served as an assistant volleyball coach for Buffalo Volleyball Academy club volleyball teams (13 and 14 years).  Ciesla also manages the social media presence and marketing direction for AW Outdoor Services while splitting time between customer support positions at Great Lakes Medical Imaging and Bob O Links Golf Course.

Ciesla, a four-year volleyball player for the Mavs, served as a team captain dating back to her sophomore campaign.  The Hamburg, N.Y. native appeared in 324 sets over 108 matches.  The 5-8 Outside Hitter closed her career with 348 kills, 27 assists, 55 service aces, 370 digs, and 55 total blocks.

Ciesla earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Medaille in 2020.
