Penn St. Behrend sophomore Mia Pietropola broke the school record in the 200 IM twice in one night to lead the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team on the first day of the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational Friday night.
Penn St. Behrend sophomore Mia Pietropola broke the school record in the 200 IM twice in one night to lead the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team on the first day of the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational Friday night.
Pietropola set the new mark in the 200 IM in the preliminaries and then erased that with a new record of 2:11.84 to finish first-place overall and help the Lions sit in sixth place with 75 points.
On Saturday, Pietropola set another school record, this time in the 100 breaststroke to lead the Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team on day two of the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational Saturday.
The sophomore broke a two-year old school record with a time of 1:07.86 in the preliminaries of the 100 breaststroke. She finished fourth place overall in 1:09.04 in the finals.
