Megan Dulniak, D'Youville College, Women's Soccer - Defensive

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville GK Megan Dulniak continued her strong play in the net this past week, posting back-to-back shutouts for the women. Dulniak made nine total saves as the Spartans picked up a 2-0 win over Medaille on Tuesday and a 2-0 win against Pitt.-Greensburg on Saturday. D'Youville has allowed just one goal in conference play and are tied for first in the conference with a 4-0-1 record. All four of the team's wins this season have been via shutout. Within conference play, Dulniak leads the AMCC in wins (4), shutouts (4), save (47), and minutes played (470). 

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona GK Riley Barrett had a great week between the pipes for the Lady Lions, allowing just one goal in two games and posting a 1-0-1 record in a pair of AMCC contests, as she made 13 saves, posted a .929 save percentage, and compiled a 0.45 goals against average in 200 minutes in goal...Pitt-Bradford GK Emily Bethel helped the Panthers to a 2-0 week while playing 76:36 minutes in goal, posting a .714 save percentage while stopping five shots in a comeback win over La Roche...PS-Behrend GK Madi Jones made nine saves against No. 12 Carnegie Mellon on Tuesday and then picked up a conference win on Saturday against Franciscan, as the defense did not allow a shot by the Barons to help Jones post a .900 save percentage and 0.51 gaa for the week...Mount Aloysius GK Leanna Cardoso-Bastos led the Mounties defensively in a shutout victory over Hilbert in her season debut...La Roche D Jessica Nakamura recorded an assist in the Redhawks' 3-2 loss to Pitt-Bradford on Friday.
