Pitt-Greensburg women's soccer players Tori Conroy, Ashley Lucas, and Tiffany Michalek were selected to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Team.
Conroy and Lucas were selected Second Team All-Great Lakes and Michalek earned a spot on the Third Team. This is the first All-Region honor for each of the women's soccer student-athletes.
Conroy started all but one game at centerback for the Bobcats in 2019, where she anchored a Pitt-Greensburg defensive unit that led the AMCC and set school single-season records in wins (19), goals allowed (12), goals-against-average (0.56), save percentage (0.898) and shutouts (15). Earlier this season, Conroy earned her third all-conference honor and the senior defender ends her Pitt-Greensburg career having started in 75 games and ranks fourth in Pitt-Greensburg history with 6,530 minutes played.
Lucas caps a fantastic freshman season in which she was named both the Offensive Player of the Year as well as Newcomer of the Year after leading the conference in goals (23), assists (11), points (57), and shots (112). The 2019 First Team All-AMCC selection became just the second women's soccer player at Pitt-Greensburg to be named the AMCC's Offensive Player of the Year and just the third player to be selected the Top Newcomer. Lucas tallied four multi-goal games and recorded at least a point in all but three games in 2019. The freshman forward set a school-record and ranked first in the country with 12 game-winning goals.
Michalek earns All-Region honors after an impressive sophomore season in which she earned All-AMCC honors for a second-consecutive season. Michalek ranked second in the conference in both goals (18) and points (44) and was third in assists (8) and shots (83). The sophomore forward recorded two hat-tricks in 2019 and scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat D'Youville and propel Pitt-Greensburg to the program's second appearance in the AMCC Championship.
The trio of players helped propel Pitt-Greensburg to its best season in program history, where it set a single-season record with 19 wins and clinched the first regular-season and tournament titles in school-history. The Bobcats defeated Penn State Behrend in the AMCC Championship to earn an automatic bid into the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament where it faced the University of Chicago.
