BEHREND WOMEN'S SOCCER OVERCOMES MOUNTIES FOR 14TH LEAGUE TITLE

For the fourteenth time in league history the Penn St. Behrend women's soccer team has won the AMCC championship.

The Lions defeated Mount Aloysius College, 1-0, earning the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.

The first half was marked by tenacious defense by both teams, with each squad registering just one shot on goal.  Behrend freshman Brenna McGuire scored the only goal of the game.  The leaguae scoring leader lofted an unassisted strike in the 65th minute that eluded Mountie goalkeeper Lauren Davey for McGuire's 18th goal of the season.

NCAA tournament pairings, seedings and schedule will be announced Monday.
