TOP-SEEDED BEHREND LOOKS FOR ANOTHER CONFERENCE TITLE

Penn State Behrend, winners of 12 previous conference titles, enters the 2017 women's soccer conference tournament with their sights set on their seventh straight crown. The tournament opens up this Saturday with #3 Franciscan University hosting #6 Pitt-Greensburg and #4 D'Youville College hosting #5 La Roche College. #1 Penn St. Behrend and #2 Mount Aloysius College both receive first round byes.

Top-seeded Behrend (14-4, 9-0 AMCC) has been led all season by the dominant play of senior forward Jordan Oberlander. Oberlander leads the conference with 28 goals and 61 points. Senior forward Olivia Belack is second in the conference with eight assists, while senior forward Amanda Donohue and freshman forward Cassidy Ulanowicz are tied for third with six assists a piece. Belack is also tied for fourth with nine goals on the season. Senior goalkeeper Ania Gorski is second in the league with a 1.04 goals against average and has recorded a .793 save percentage.

Mount Aloysius College (12-5-1, 7-2 AMCC) has earned the #2 seed and is led on the offensive side by junior forwards Cheyenne Kuncher and Jordan Gebhart. Kuncher and Gebhart are tied for fourth in the conference with nine goals each, while sophomore midfielder Sam Torrenti leads the league with nine assists. Junior goalkeeper Leanne Cardoso-Bastos is one of the top keepers in the AMCC, boasting a league-leading .869 save percentage and .86 goals against average. 

#3 Franciscan (8-8, 6-3 AMCC) is led by senior midfielder Megan Luiso, who ranks ninth with seven goals. Junior goalkeeper Sarah Luebking ranks seventh in the conference with a 1.55 goals against average.

D'Youville (7-7-3, 5-3-1 AMCC)  is the fourth seed in the tournament and is led on offense by junior forward Magan Magee and sophomore forward Marina Campbell, who lead the Spartans with six goals each. Junior goalkeeper Megan Dulniak's .844 save percentage is second-best in the conference, while her 1.24 goals against average is fifth.

Fifth-seeded La Roche (6-8-2, 4-4-1 AMCC) will rely on senior forward Vanessa Ceravolo's offensive power, as she is tied for fourth in the league with nine goals. Freshman goalkeeper Isabelle Orange ranks third in the conference with an .841 save percentage and a 1.09 goals against average. 

Rounding out the field is sixth-seeded Pitt-Greensburg (9-7-1, 4-5 AMCC). The Bobcats will look to junior midfielder Bri Burgunder for offensive power, as she ranks second in the conference with 18 goals and 40 points. Senior goalkeeper Shannon Edwards is fourth in the conferene with a 1.17 goals against average.

First round games will be played on Saturday, October 28, with the top two seeds receiving byes. The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, November 1, with the championship game on Saturday, November 4.  The AMCC champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, with the national championship to be played at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro on December 1-2.
