AMCC FIELD IS SET FOR 2016 WOMEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS
Penn State Behrend, winners of the past five AMCC womens soccer titles, has secured home field advantage in the 2016 women's soccer championship after finishing the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record.

The top-seeded Lions (14-4, 9-0 AMCC) bring with them the league's top goal scorer and assist leader in junior forward Olivia Belack, with 18 and 9, respectively. In addition to Belack, Behrend boasts the reigning AMCC offensive women's soccer player of the year, senior forward Alex Bilka. Bilka is second in the AMCC in both categories with 15 goals and eight assists.
Pitt-Greensburg (9-7-2, 7-1-1 AMCC) has earned the #2 seed and will be looking to a pair of sophomores, midfielder Brianna Burgunder and forward Kayleen Schwegler, for their offensive power. Burgunder is sixth in the conference with 12 goals and Schwegler is tied for eighth with 10. Schwegler, the 2015 AMCC Newcomer of the Year, is also tied for second with seven assists.
#3 Pitt-Bradford (8-5-4, 5-1-3 AMCC) returns the 2015 AMCC defensive player of the year, junior goalkeeper Sarah Dailey. Dailey is third in the conference with 108 saves and an .806 save percentage, and is fourth with a 1.48 goals against average. Sophomore forward Grace Dazdaa leads the Panther attack with six goals.
Mount Aloysius College (11-6-1, 5-3-1 AMCC), after an 8th place finish in 2015, has earned the #4 seed in this year's tournament and will be making their first postseason appearance in program history. The Mounties are led by sophomore midfielder Jordan Gebhart who is fourth in the conference with 13 goals, while senior forward Olivia Woodley is tied for fourth with seven assists. Senior goalkeeper Zara Apakoh leads the AMCC with only nine goals against this season and a 0.90 goals against average. Apakoh also ranks second with an .816 save percentage.
#5 seed Hilbert College (9-6-1, 4-4-1 AMCC) has enjoyed an incredible turn-around season, as they finished in 9th place with just one conference win one year ago. Junior goalkeeper Jenna Castricone is a big reason for Hilbert's success on the field. Castricone, a two-time AMCC player of the week this season, is second in the conference with six shutouts and is fourth with 97 saves. Senior midfielder Jennifer Colvin leads the Hawks offensively, as she is tied for sixth in the league with 11 goals on the season.
La Roche College (7-8-1, 4-4-1 AMCC)rounds out the field as the #6 seed. The Redhawks will look to offensive specialist, junior forward Vanessa Ceravolo, whose 15 goals is good enough to tie her for second in the league. Freshman forward Allesandra Perri is tied for fourth with seven assists.
First round games will be played on Saturday, October 29, with the top two seeds receiving byes. The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, November 2, with the championship game on Saturday, November 5. The AMCC champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, with the national championship to be played at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro on December 2-3.
