This week's AMCC women's soccer game of the week features Penn St. Behrend (8-6, 5-1 AMCC) at Pitt-Greensburg (5-6-2, 4-1-1 AMCC). The Lions and Panthers are two of the top teams in the conference, as they are currently sitting in 2nd and 3rd places, respectively, in the AMCC. The Lions have shut out Pitt-Greensburg in the last three contests, including a 4-0 victory last season. Pitt-Greensburg will enter the contest hungry, as Behrend is on a 10-game winning streak against the Bobcats.

The Lions are coming off their first overtime game of the season. Behrend erased a three-goal deficit with four unanswered goals to defeat Medaille, 4-3. Junior F Alex Bilka had her first collegiate hat trick in the win. Bilka leads the team with 10 goals and nine assists for 29 points. She is one assist away from tying teammate sophomore F Olivia Belack for most assists in a season (10) and is three away from tying the all-time record. Belack is second on the team with seven goals and four assists for 18 points. As a team, the Lions are outscoring their opponents 38-27 and hold a 230-146 shot advantage in 14 games. Behrend has 11 different players scoring this season.

Pitt-Greensburg enters Saturday’s showdown against Penn St. Behrend with a conference record of 4-1-1, just a half game behind the Lions who come in at 5-1. The Bobcat offense is led by freshman sensation Kayleen Schwegler. Her 12 goals are tied for the most in the league overall, while her 8 AMCC goals rank 2nd. Pitt-Greensburg has persevered through a slew of injuries this season to several key players, battling through a handful of games with just 10 or 11 players. Yet amongst the adversity, Head Coach Chuck Wigle has the Bobcats right in the thick of the AMCC playoff race, needing a win on Saturday to punch their ticket back to the postseason after missing out in 2014.
