NIEBAUER TO LEAD MOUNT ALOYSIUS CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAMS

NIEBAUER TO LEAD MOUNT ALOYSIUS CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAMS
The Mount Aloysius College cross country program is set to have new leadership, beginning this fall, as Todd Niebauer has accepted the position. He will enter his first season at Mount Aloysius as the Head Men's & Women's Cross Country Coach.

Niebauer comes from nearby Penn Cambria High School, where he has been the Head Cross Country Coach for the Panthers, since 2005. He was responsible for building the program from scratch, starting in '05. The first team at Penn Cambria had three boys and four girls on the roster, but has since had high-water marks of 20 boys and 12 girls. Niebauer also helped the program add a Junior High program, which started five years ago.

Not only has Niebauer been responsible for growing the program, he has also led it to quite successful marks over the years. From 2010-12, his girls' team qualified for the state meet, while they have also been the runner-up in District 6, three times. He has had multiple state qualifiers, individually, on both teams, and also had a few runners named All-State.

While Niebauer will take over the reigns of the Mountie runners, he will continue to serve as the Head Wrestling Coach at Penn Cambria, where he has also been a teacher, entering his 27th year, this fall. He has been the Head Wrestling Coach for 19 years.

Neibauer graduated from Pitt-Johnstown, with a degree in Secondary Education. While at UPJ, he was a member of the Wrestling team, under Head Coach, Pat Pecora. Neibauer lives in Cresson, with his wife Tonya. He has two sons, Bryce and Reed.
