MYLES NAMED LA ROCHE MEN'S & WOMEN'S HEAD CROSS COUNTRY COACH

The La Roche University Athletics Department has announced the hiring of Kevin Myles as the new men's and women's cross country head coach. Myles served as the women's cross country head coach during the 2020-21 season and was the assistant coach for the LRU cross country teams for two seasons (2018 & 2019).

Myles brings a great deal of experience to the cross country programs. He ran Division I cross country and track and field at La Salle University from 1996-2001. At La Salle, Kevin captured the Atlantic 10 1,000 meter championship in 1997 and went on to become the first Explorer to be an NCAA Cross Country Championship Qualifier, doing so in 1998. He is two-time All-District II Cross Country honoree, a three-time All A-10 performer in cross country and was also selected as La Salle's Male Scholar Athlete in 2000. He was inducted into La Salle Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008. He then served as an assistant cross country/track and field coach for the prestigious Brown University (Div. I) from 2008-2010.

Myles then served as the head men's track and field coach and assistant cross country coach for Providence College (Div. I) from 2010-2014. The Providence College women's cross country team won the NCAA National Championship in 2013 when Kevin was an assistant.
