PENN ST. BEHREND AND MEDAILLE RANKED IN GREAT LAKES REGION
The AMCC has placed two schools, Penn St. Behrend and Medaille, in the top ten of the Great Lakes Region for men's soccer.
The AMCC has placed two schools, Penn St. Behrend and Medaille, in the top ten of the Great Lakes Region for men's soccer.
Penn St. Behrend, with an overall record of 9-3-0 and a conference record of 3-0-0, is ranked eighth. As a team, they are ranked 14th nationally in total goals scored with 35, and 16th in scoring offense, averaging 2.92 goals per game. Senior Forward Jimmy Belack is leading the team, as he leads the nation in game-winning goals (5), 10th nationally in total goals (11), 16th in total points (25), 21st in goals per game (0.92), and 29th in points per game (2.08).
Medaille, with an overall record of 11-3 and a conference record of 3-0, has entered this week ranked tenth in the region. The Mavericks are also currently ranked 10th nationally in total assists with 29.0 and 12th in team goals against average with 0.46. They also come in as a team 17th in the nation in total points with 93.0 and 24th in assists per game with 2.23. Senior Goalkeeper Erik Szczerba is leading the way for his team, as he is ranked third in goals against average (0.221) and tenth in save percentage (0.90). Sophomore Midfielder Bryan Sibble is ranked 4th in total assists with nine and 12th in assists per game with 0.69.
