HILBERT'S MIKE CARBERY TO BE INDUCTED INTO WNY LACROSSE HALL OF FAME

Twelve new members will be inducted into the Western New York Chapter of USA Lacrosse Hall of Fame on Feb. 3, organizers announced.

Inductees were selected for their roles in personifying “the great contribution of the sport of lacrosse to our way of life” in Western New York.

Included in this year's inductees is Hilbert College head men's lacrosse coach Mike Carbery. Carbery was a four-year starter as a player at Canisius College, he has coached at the high school level at Canisius and collegiately at Medaille College and Hilbert College and spent five as years the director of the Buffalo Lacrosse Academy. He built the Medaille lacrosse program and was named the NEAC Coach of the Year in 2014. He is in his seventh season as head coach at Hilbert.

The event is scheduled for Pearl Street Brewery at 3 p.m. The inductees will be introduced at halftime of the Buffalo Bandits game against Rochester later that night at KeyBank Center. Tickets can be purchased online through the WNY Chapter of USA Lacrosse Facebook link and include dinner at the ceremony and tickets to the game.
