MT. ALOYSIUS NAMES CRAIG BALSINGER HEAD MEN'S GOLF COACH

Mount Aloysius Athletic Director Ryan Smith has announced Craig Balsinger as the new head coach for the Mountie golf program.

Balsinger, who recently served as the Head Golf Coach at Central Cambria High School, brings a wide array of experience to the position. Balsinger replaces Jeff Homady, who coached the Mounties to two invitational tournament championships in the last two seasons, as well as two top-four finishes in the AMCC.
“We are excited to be able to bring in an experienced professional in Craig to coach our Mountie golfers,” Smith said. “We feel he will continue to build the program into a top competitor in the AMCC.”
Balsinger was the Head Golf Coach at Central Cambria during the 2014 season. He served as a golf professional from 2010 to 2013 at Hollow Creek Golf Club in Middletown, Maryland. At Hallow Creek, Balsinger designed and instructed junior camps as well as men’s and women’s golf clinics.
Prior to his time at Hallow Creek, Balsinger was a golf professional at Cattail Creek Country Club (2004-2010) in Glenwood, Maryland and locally at Ebensburg Country Club (2003-2004). At both Cattail Creek and Ebensburg, Balsinger developed and conducted golf school clinics for all age groups over the summer months.
Balsinger has also been on the professional staff for TaylorMade Golf, where he served as a representative from 2005 to 2013 to promote TaylorMade merchandise and clubs.
Balsinger graduated from the San Diego Golf Academy of the Carolinas in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in August 2003 with a degree in business marketing.
