PITCHER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend SO Phil Myers was stellar on the mound for Behrend in a 3-1 victory over #17 La Roche on Saturday. Myers kept the Redhawks off balance all afternoon, allowing seven scattered hits and just one earned run, for a 1.0 ERA, in his complete game nine inning performance. Myers moved to 6-1 on the season and now holds a 2.01 ERA, which is second in the conference. He is second in wins with six and fourth in strikeouts with 46. 

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona FR Aaron Sharp played a key role on the mound in two very important AMCC wins last week for the Lions, including a complete game win over Hilbert, where he allowed only six hits, two earned runs, and two walks while striking out two, he then entered the seventh inning against UPB and recorded his first collegiate save while striking out two batters. ...Mount Aloysius JR Tyghe Bowers pitched a complete game shutout Saturday against D'Youville with a playoff berth on the line, scattering four hits while striking out seven...La Roche SO Nick Tunstall pitched to a 2.08 ERA over 13 innings and two starts...Medaille SO Peter Grunzweig picked up his second win of the season to go along with his conference fifth-best 3.12 ERA, pitching 6.0 innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out three against Hilbert...Pitt-Greensburg JR Brandon Hoener threw his third complete-game of the season in the 6-3 victory over Hilbert and moves to 6-1 on the season with the victory, he is now tied four fourth in school history with six wins on the season...Hilbert SR Michael Voveris was called upon three times this past week, including one start against Altoona, as he tossed 9.1 innings totaling eight strikeouts, and finishing the week with a respectable 3.86 ERA.
