Meanwhile, sophomore infielder Corey Chamberlain and freshman first baseman Jonathan Rauch are both 13th in the conference and tied for the team lead in RBI with 23, with Chamberlain also ranking 11th in the AMCC in hits (38) and total bases (54) and Rauch being 13th in on-base percentage (.466). The 2023 Hilbert baseball team has also been on a roll. The Hawks have established a new single season win record, currently at 18-14 overall, and sit in two-way tie with Penn State Altoona for fourth place (5-5).  Individually, senior OF Thomas Evans has established the program’s single season record and became the All-Time home run leader after knocking two out of the ballpark against Alfred State this week.  In AMCC games, he leads the conference in runs, hits, doubles, home runs and total bases; he is second in triples and RBIs.  His partner in crime at the plate is senior 1B Patrick Whelan who leads the league in putouts and is ranked second in the league in doubles and hit by pitch. The Hawks have gotten big games out of their pitching staff with five players having winning records. Brennen Hediger leads the Hawks with four wins and is ranked fourth in the AMCC with a 3.63 ERA while Brendan Walsh (3-0) leads all of NCAA Division III with nine saves.
