BEHREND DEFEATS LA ROCHE FOR SIXTH AMCC BASEBALL TITLE
The Penn State Behrend baseball team won their sixth AMCC Championship, defeating top-seed La Roche University 7-5 in the final game of the series on Thursday.

Behrend won their first AMCC Championship since 2013 as the Lions handed La Roche their second straight loss and snapped the Redhawk's six-year winning streak.
The Lions earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, as the selection show is set for Sunday, May 23
The Lions grabbed a two-run lead in the top of the second inning with three runs on three hits. Colin Harger walked and scored on Isaac Stouffer's double to left center. Zack Bowen reached on an error, allowing Stouffer to score to make it 2-1. Anthony Slate drove in Bowen with a single to center field for a 3-1 lead. La Roche tallied two runs in the fourth inning to knot it at 3-all. Two scoreless innings went by before Behrend scored three runs in the sixth for a 6-3 advantage. It took a pair of hits and pair of errors to get three more runs for the Lions. Slate scored the go-ahead run on Wagner's sacrifice fly out in center field. In the seventh, Braden Paulinellie hit an RBI single to add an insurance run thanks to Tanner Cicchini. Hurler Lindow made his eighth start and pitched six innings, before making way to Caleb Caldwell and then Ryan Weaver got the save in the final two innings.
For the Redhawks, Ben Dottle hit a home run, recorded three RBI and scored twice while Austin Hoffman and Jason Swope also picked up an RBI each.
