AMCC BASEBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: PITT-GREENSBURG @ MEDAILLE

AMCC Baseball Game of the Week:

Pitt-Greensburg (13-11, 5-5 AMCC) and Medaille College (9-22, 5-5 AMCC) will clash on Saturday afternoon in the AMCC Baseball Game of the Week. Both teams, along with Pitt-Bradford, are tied with a 5-5 conference mark and are battling it out for prime seeding in the conference tournament as we head into the final weeks of the season.

Pitt-Greensburg has won three of their last four games and is coming off a split against Mount Aloysius College. Senior outfielder Ryan Dodson leads the Bobcats, and is fifth in the AMCC, with a .429 batting average, while cophomore infielder Tyler Holland is tied for second in the conference with six home runs. Sophomore outfielder Chris Common, the current AMCC Player of the Week, is tied at fourth in the league with 28 RBI.  On the mound, senior Dylan Pounds leads teh conference with four saves, while junior Brandon Hoener is tied for third with four wins on the season.


The Medaille Mavericks come into Saturday's double header having won just two of their last six, but coming off a split with cross-town rival D'Youville College. The Mavs have scored at least four runs in each of their last six; however, as the Mavericks offense has been hitting .352 as a team during that stretch. Senior UTIL Daniel Luppens leads the Mavs with a .366 batting average, 41 hits and 21 RBI. Junior pitcher Ryan Wojcinski has been the Mavericks ace, going 5-2 with a 2.01 ERA and a team high 38 strike outs.
