Mount Aloysius College sophomore shortstop Matthew McCourt has been tabbed as the 2017 AMCC Baseball Player of the Year. McCourt led the Mounties all season and finished the regular season tops in the AMCC in five different categories -- home runs (14), RBI (47), doubles (22), slugging percentage (.826), and runs scored (48), while also finishing sixth in stolen bases (11). In all of NCAA Division III, McCourt is first in doubles, second in home runs, third in slugging percentage, fourth in home runs per game, and fifth in total bases (105).

La Roche College sophomore Nick Tunstall has been selected as the AMCC Pitcher of the Year. In four starts and twenty-five innings, he did not allow a run against conference competition. Overall, Tunstall led the AMCC in ERA (1.44) and seventh in batting average against (.192).

Penn State Altoona freshman shortstop Hunter Breon is the Newcomer of the Year. Breon stepped into the starting lineup right away as a freshman and showcased great ability at the plate and in the field. In conference play, he ranks seventh in stolen bases (9), ninth in hits (47), 15th in home runs (3) and total bases (66), 18th in runs scored (28), 19th in doubles (10), 21st in RBI (24), 25th in slugging percentage (.471), and 28th in batting average (.336). In 16 AMCC games, Breon hit .406 with a .435 on-base percentage, and he slugged .625. In those AMCC games, he had 26 hits, 15 RBI, eight doubles, two home runs, and 15 runs scored. In the field, his range allowed him to make many exceptional plays at shortstop, and he finished second in the AMCC in assists (110) and was 11th by helping turn 14 double plays.

For the fourth year in a row, and sixth time in the past seven years, Coach of the Year honors goes to La Roche head coach Chase Rowe. Rowe led the Redhawks to a 15-1 conference record and their fourth consecutive regular season and conferenence tournament titles.
