La Roche College Baseball head coach Chase Rowe has been named the 2015 ABCA/Diamond NCAA Division III Mideast Region Coach of the Year.
Under Rowe's stewardship, the Redhawks enjoyed their most outstanding season ever in 2015. They won a program-best 33 games while advancing all the way to the NCAA Mideast Region Championship game. They earned their third AMCC championship in the past four seasons and also picked up their fourth AMCC regular season title.
In addition to earning ABCA Coach of the Year honors, Rowe was named D3Baseball's Mideast Region Coach of the Year and also the AMCC Coach of the Year for the fourth time in five seasons.
Regional Coaches of the Year are eligible for ABCA/Diamond National Coach of the Year, which will be announced on Thursday, July 9. The ABCA/Diamond National Coaches of the Year will be honored at the 72nd annual ABCA Convention, which will be held Jan. 7-10, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee.
The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level. Its over 6,600 members represent all 50 states and 23 countries. Since its initial meeting of 27 college baseball coaches in June 1945, Association membership has broadened to include eight divisions: NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, Junior College (NJCAA and Pacific Association Division), High School and Youth.
