UPDATE 5/16:  After a rain out of Thursday's schedule, La Roche College put one in the win column at the Marietta (OH) regional of the NCAA Division III baseball tournament.  The Redhawks eliminated the NEAC champion Penn St. Berks, 7-1, and will play the winner of Salisbury/Case Western Reserve on Saturday at 7:45pm.

Junior Tyler Ferguson went the distance for the victory, striking out 10 and walking none while allowing no earned runs and just four hits.  He made history in the process by breaking the AMCC's single season win and strikeout record.

The previous win record of 10 was set in 2006 by Penn State Behrend's Chris McCartney and Frostburg State's Billye Hollister while Pitt-Bradford's Bobby Wyant held the strikeout record since 2005 when he fanned 104 batters. Additionally, Ferguson also matched current assistant coach James Connelly as the school's all-time wins leader.

Catcher Matt Sabatini led the offense, going 2 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI.
