Hilbert College has announce a series of promotions within its Athletics Department, reflecting the institution's commitment continued growth in intercollegiate athletics.
Hilbert College has announce a series of promotions within its Athletics Department, reflecting the institution's commitment continued growth in intercollegiate athletics. These changes come under the leadership of Tim Seil, who was recently appointed Associate Vice President for Student Life and Director of Athletics.
"As we continue to build a student-centered and competitive, athletics program, it's essential to recognize leaders who make that possible," said Seil. "Each of these individuals has made a strong impact on Hilbert Athletics, and I'm excited to see them continue to grow in these expanded roles."
- Kara Rehbaum – Associate Athletic Director / Director of Sports Information / Title IX Coordinator
Entering her 21st year at Hilbert, Rehbaum has been a cornerstone of the department since 2004. She manages game scheduling for all 18 sport programs, coordinates officials, and oversees financial operations. As Sports Information Director, she maintains the college's athletic records and media presence. A former professional basketball player and coach, Rehbaum is a 2023 inductee into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and a member of multiple national sports organizations. - Rob deGrandpre – Associate Athletic Director / Head Men's Basketball Coach
With 24 years at Hilbert, deGrandpre has led the men's basketball program to consistent success, leading the Hawks to 279 wins since 2002. In addition to his coaching duties, he has served as Athletics Recruiting Coordinator and Assistant Athletic Director, playing a key role in student-athlete development and departmental operations. - Dr. Rylee Haffey – Assistant Athletic Director / Director of Sports Medicine / Senior Woman Administrator
Dr. Haffey joined Hilbert in June 2024 and quickly became a vital leader in student-athlete health and wellness. She oversees the Sports Medicine team and now steps into a broader administrative role, where she will also serve as the department's Senior Woman Administrator, advocating for gender equity and student support at the AMCC and NCAA levels. - Drew Fittry – Assistant Athletic Director / Head Baseball Coach
Fittry has built the Hawks baseball program into an annual AMCC contender. Hilbert's all-time wins leader, Fittry has overseen academics the last three years. In his new role, he will contribute to broader departmental planning and student-athlete services, building on his experience as Athletic Academic Coordinator. - Hailey Lucas – Assistant Head Athletic Trainer
Lucas has been a key member of the Sports Medicine team since her arrival in summer 2024. She played a key role in injury prevention and rehabilitation this past academic year. Her promotion recognizes her leadership and growing responsibilities in supporting the health of Hilbert's student-athletes.
