AMCC 25TH ANNIVERSARY THEN & NOW SERIES: KATHERINE GOLEBIE, LA ROCHE UNIVERSITY

Katherine Golebie first stepped onto the La Roche College campus in the fall of 2009 and since then has become one of the most prominent figures in the athletics department. Golebie played defense for the women’s soccer team for four seasons from 2009 to 2012. She garnered AMCC All-Conference honors three times (2010-12) and played a total of 69 games in her collegiate career.

In addition to her athletic achievements, Kat won numerous academic awards at La Roche. She received the Joyce Singletary Dean of Students Award, the Scott Lang Student Athlete Leadership Award, the Government Association Outstanding Students Service Award, and the RA Veteran of the Year Award.

After graduating with her Bachelors degree from the University in 2013, Kat joined the Athletic Department as an Assistant Athletic Director. She also serves as the Title IX Coordinator, Senior Woman Administrator and was an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach from 2013-2020.

Kat married another La Roche student-athlete turned coach, Anthony Pici, in the summer of 2014. The Redhawk couple currently resides in McCandless, PA and are expecting their first child in September 2021.

 

The Then and Now Series is part of the AMCC's 25th anniversary where the conference will be recognizing current AMCC coaches and/or athletic administrators who are former AMCC student-athletes. The Then and Series will run every Tuesday throughout the academic year.
