AMCC 25TH ANNIVERSARY DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI SERIES: NICK DIDIANO, MOUNT ALOYSIUS COLLEGE

Nick Didiano was a member of the Mount Aloysius College baseball team from 2014-16. He was made 31 appearances in his career, pitching just over 40 innings. In his best season, coming in 2014, he made eight appearances, including two starts. He threw one complete game in 17.2 IP, and pitched to a 4.08 ERA.

While at Mount Aloysius, Didiano, a Business Administration major, was a three-time member of the Academic All-Conference team. He was also part of two Team Peak Performer Winners, in 2015 and 2016. He was also part of Mount Aloysius’ Institutional Peak Performer award, during the 2014-15 school year. He also participated in Student Government at Mount Aloysius, among other activities.

Following graduation, Didiano decided to join the United States Coast Guard. He started in Officer Candidate School with the US Coast Guard Academy. He has since been promoted and is currently a Lieutenant Junior Grade rank. He serves as the Officer in Charge – Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDets). The LEDETs are specialized groups, responsible for enforcing maritime law, aboard both U.S. and Allied ships.

Didiano will look to continue to make an impact, using some of the skills that he gained at Mount Aloysius.

 

The Distinguished Alumni Series is part of the AMCC's 25th anniversary where the conference will be recognizing former AMCC student-athletes who have excelled in their area of study. The Distinguished Alumni Series will run every Thursday throughout the academic year.
