The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team will be making their fifth straight and eighth overall appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament this weekend. The Lions will travel to No. 10 Centre College in Danville, KY to face the Colonels on Saturday, November 14 at 11 a.m. in first-round action. The Lions (13-7) earned the AMCC automatic bid into the 64-team tournament after winning their fifth consecutive title and 11th conference crown. Centre (16-1-1) won its fourth consecutive SAA (Southern Athletic Association) Championship to be making its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth overall in program history. The Colonels, ranked 10th in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25, defeated Rhodes 1-0 in the SAA Championship game for their chance at the dance.
The Mount Aloysius College men's soccer team will face off against Calvin College in the first round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Division III Tournament. The Mounties (12-6-2) will play the Knights (20-0-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University. Calvin will be making its 14th appearance in NCAA III Tournament play, including its eighth appearance in the last nine years, while Mounties will be playing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time. The Knights were ranked No. 1 in the nation in the latest NSCAA Division III poll. Calvin is 20-0-1 on the season.
The Franciscan University (15-17) women's volleyball team will be making their second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament as they take on national powerhouse Juniata College. The matchup will take place Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. With an overall record of 31-2 and their ninth Landmark Conference title under their belt, the Juniata Eagles earned regional hosting rights and will be making their 35th straight appearance in the national tournament.
The Penn St. Behrend men's soccer team has earned the top seed in the ECAC Men's South Soccer Championship. The Lions (16-2-2) will receive a first round bye and will host the winner of Arcadia and Grove City in the first semifinal, with the date and time to be announced.
