VETERANS SUPPORTED AND HONORED BY D'YOUVILLE BASKETBALL

The D'Youville College men's and women's basketball teams came together this past Veterans Day to recognize, honor, and support current and former veterans.

On Monday, November 12, the two teams worked together to put on their Military Appreciate Night. The teams, along with the D'Youville Athletics Committee, raised $525 by selling t-shirts before and during the basketball games that evening. All of the proceeds raised were donated to the Student Veteran Association at D'Youville.

D'Youville ranks as one of the best institutions in the nation for veterans. The institution was ranked number one by Military Times 120 best colleges for vets in 2014. Three years later in 2017, the Military Times then ranked D'Youville fifth out of 130 colleges and universities, establishing the school as one of the best places for veterans to achieve a degree in the country.

The Veteran Services Office at D'Youville was created in 2006 with the goal of creating a place for veterans to feel support and a welcomed. As of 2017, more than 600 veterans and dependents were at rolled at D'Youville.
