On day four of NCAA Division III week, the AMCC applauds 782 student-athletes who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher as of Fall 2013, earning the honor of being named to the 2013-14 Academic All-Conference Team. Nearly 450 of those individuals were tabbed Individual Peak Performers by achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. A special subset of those student-athletes were also selected for induction to Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society, which recognizes both academic performance, leadership and character.
Franciscan University landed the highest percentage of its varsity team members in AMCC championship sports on the Academic All-Conference Team--63.2%--earning the distinction of Institutional Peak Performer for the second year in a row. The Barons also had two fall sport teams qualify as Team Peak Performers: women's volleyball, with a 3.47 team GPA, and women's tennis, with a 3.59 team GPA.
