PITT-GREENSBURG WOMEN'S TENNIS TO FACE ALLEGHENY IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Pitt-Greensburg women's tennis team will travel 442 miles to Middletown, CT to take on the Allegheny College Gators in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The two teams will meet this Friday, May 5 on the campus of Wesleyan University. First serve will be at 10 AM.
 
The Bobcats are making its second consecutive NCAA appearance as they will take on the Gators, who are competing in their first ever NCAA Tournament as a program. The Gators went 18-4 this season. Allegheny went 4-0 against opponents that the Bobcats also played.
 
Perhaps the two most telling common opponents were PS Behrend and Franciscan. Both the Gators and the Bobcats dropped Behrend 9-0. Allegheny defeated Franciscan 5-4 in a PAC matchup. Pitt-Greensburg faced the Barons in the team's first match of the season, suffering their only loss.
 
The winner of the match will move on to the second round and face the host and No. 5 team in the nation in Wesleyan on Saturday at 10 AM.
