Riley Morningstar, Penn State Behrend, Women's Soccer (Defensive)

Morningstar earned two shutouts to start the season in the opening HLM Tournament. She tallied five saves and two wins, holding No. 8 John Carroll scoreless to help the Lions capture the tournament for the first time since 2021.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend GK Riley Morningstar earned two shutouts to start the season in the opening HLM Tournament. She tallied five saves and two wins, holding No. 8 John Carroll scoreless to help the Lions capture the tournament for the first time since 2021.

 

BEST OF THE REST: La Roche D Kiki Nemcek began her sophomore season strongly, helping lead La Roche to a shutout victory over Thiel, 3-0. Nemcek helped limit the Tomcats to just four shots on goal in the game. She also helped out on the offensive end, taking two shots of her own, one of which was on target.
