Penn State Behrend senior forward Trinity Prestash has been named the AMCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year.
Penn State Behrend senior forward Trinity Prestash has been named the AMCC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. Prestash scored in every conference game this season, leading the AMCC with 17 goals and two assists for 36 points. She averaged 4.5 points a game in conference play. Prestash recorded six game-winners in the eight games while converting three penalty kicks. She tied a career-high four goals vs. Alfred State and Hilbert. Overall, she led the conference with 22 goals and five assists for 49 points.
Behrend senior midfielder Nicole Croushore has been tabbed the Defensive Player of the Year. Croushore started every conference game, holding conference opponents to just one goal for a 0.13 average. She helped the defense post seven shutouts in eight conference games. Overall, the defense held opponents to eight goals over 18 contests for a 0.48 goals-against average and registered a team total 11 shutouts. Croushore also recorded two goals for four points.
Newcomer of the Year honors goes to Pitt-Greensburg freshman M/F Riley Gesinski. Gesinski led the AMCC in conference play in assists (7) and ranked second in points (17). Her average of 2.13 points per game in AMCC play also ranked her second in the league. She tied for second in conference game-winning goals (2) and tied for fourth in conference goals (5). She started seven of eight AMCC matches, playing 488 minutes, & registering a point in six of the eight conference games.
Penn State Behrend head coach Patrick O'Driscoll has been named the AMCC Coach of the Year for the eighth time in his career. O'Driscoll led the Lions to the regular season title with an 8-0 record.
