MOUNTIE MEN & WOMEN, PITT-GREENSBURG WOMEN EARN UNITED SOCCER COACHES TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD

United Soccer Coaches announced the Team Academic Award winners for the 2017-2018 academic year on Thursday and the Mount Aloysius College men's and women's soccer teams, along with the Pitt-Greensburg women's team, earned the award. The Mountie women earned the award with a team GPA of 3.24 during the 2017-2018 year, while the Mountie men had a 3.14 team GPA. The Pitt-Greensburg women recorded a 3.41 GPA during the 2017-18 academic year.

The award is the fourth consecutive award for the Mountie women's program as well as the second straight year for the men's team. Additionally, this is the second time in in program history that the Bobcats have earned the team academic award, all of which have come in the last three seasons under Pitt-Greensburg head coach Chuck Wigle

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
