AMCC ANNOUNCES WOMEN'S BAKSETBALL 25TH ANNIVERSARY TEAM

Throughout the 2021-22 academic year, the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the AMCC office will be releasing a 25th anniversary all-AMCC team for each of its 16 conference-sponsored sports.

La Roche University has had the most women's basketball players earn Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors over the past 25 years, with 11 total honors coming their way. The Redhawks have had four Players of the Year and seven Defensive Players of the Year.

Medaille College's Dani Reinwald and La Roche's Jessica Pitts are the only two players to earn both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year the same season. Reinwald earned the honors in 2018, while Pitts picked up both honors two years in a row -- in 2012 and 2013.

Medaille's Amanda Baker is the only women's basketball player in AMCC history to be named a three-time conference Player of the Year (2005, 2006, 2007). Frostburg State University's Shannon Rexrode (1999 & 2000), Pitt-Greensburg's Kelsey Wilcox (2008 & 2009), and La Roche's Pitts (2012 & 2013) were each named two-time Players of the Year.

As a team, La Roche leads the conference with eight women's basketball titles under their belts.
