PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Hiram RS Kilvio Montero led the Terriers to a 2-0 week in conference play, including a five-set win over Behrend in the AMCC Game of the Week. Montero recorded 17 kills in the win over Behrend, notching a double-double with a career-high 12 digs. He also posted career-highs in kills, aces and attacks. In a three-set win over Saint Vincent, he posted a career-high four blocks and tied for a team-high eight kills against the Bearcats. For the week, Montero recorded 25 kills, 16 digs, 7 service aces, and 7 total blocks.


BEST OF THE REST: Geneva MB Peter Barbato helped lead Geneva to two AMCC victories this past week to open conference play, as he averaged averaged 3.33 kills per set (.289 hitting percentage) along with 1.67 digs per set and 0.33 blocks per set, including a team-high 15 kills against Penn State Altoona...PS-Altoona OH/RS Philip Silva got his collegiate volleyball career off to a strong start last week, as he recorded 32.5 points (4.1 points per set), 29 kills (3.63 kills per set), six digs (0.75 digs per set), and four total blocks (0.50 blocks per set), finishing the week with a .328 attack percentage...PS-Behrend OH Colin Dedert averaged 3.38 kills and 2.25 digs per set for the Lions 1-1 week, tallying his first collegiate double-double with a career-high 17 kills and 12 digs against Hiram on Saturday, while also adding double-digit kills against Thiel with 10...Medaille OH Chris Pauline Jr. was instrumental in the Mavs' 3-0 victory over St. Vincent this past weekend, as he tied for the team-lead in kills with 11, while also putting up a respectable .276 hitting percentage and three service aces, along with two solo blocks and eight digs...Thiel OH Zac Smith recorded 29 kills (.147%) and 22 digs in three matches last week.
