PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona MH Dan Downs had another standout week for the Lions, helping his team go 3-0 -- including a pair of conference wins. In Thursday night's 3-1 win at Thiel, he led the team with 13 kills and posted a .579 attack percentage. In Saturday's 3-1 victory over NEAC foe Keuka, Downs had 13 kills and swung at a .571 clip. In Sunday's 3-0 sweep of NEAC/AMCC opponent Medaille, he again led the team in kills with 11 to go along with a .550 hitting percentage, three solo blocks, and two block assists. On the week, Downs had 37 kills (3.36 kills per set) and five total blocks (0.45 blocks per set), totaling 41.0 points (3.7 points per set). He posted an excellent .567 attack percentage, committing just three attack errors in 11 sets all week.

 

BEST OF THE REST: D'Youville OH Pat Stroh recorded 17 kills and nine digs with three blocks in the 3-2 win over Medaille on Wednesday and then added 20 total kills with 11 digs and two blocks in two games against SUNY Poly and Wells over the weekend...Medaille OH Brazil Thompson led the Mavs with 36 kills and ranked second with 24 digs, hitting .238 with 15 kills at Wilson and coupled that with four total blocks...PS-Behrend OH Tyler Herrmann averaged 2.67 kills and digs in a 1-1 week for Behrend, as he recorded nine kills, eight digs, two blocks and an ace against Siena Heights, before registering seven kills, eight digs in a 3-0 win over Thiel.
